There’s a moment — usually somewhere between the rehearsal and the reception — when it hits you. All those early mornings, late nights, the papers and the projects and the “I don’t know if I can do this.” And then, somehow, you did.
That moment is worth more than a phone snapshot from the third row of the bleachers.
I’m so excited to announce that Cap and Gown Graduate Mini Sessions are officially open for booking at one of my favorite spots in all of Boulder — Chautauqua Park — on May 3rd, 2026.
Why Graduate Mini Sessions?
Because here’s the thing: graduation is one of those milestones that sneaks up on you. One minute you’re drowning in deadlines and finals, and the next you’re standing in a robe wondering how it happened so fast.
And then it’s over.
I think everyone agrees that this moment matters. But I’m not sure we always stop long enough to actually document it. Not in a meaningful way. Not in a way that you’ll pull out in 20 years and feel it all over again.
That’s exactly what these graduate mini sessions are for.
Whether you’re a high school senior launching into college, a college grad stepping into the real world for the first time, or a grad student who gave years of your life to something you believed in — your story deserves to be told. Beautifully. Intentionally. In a place as stunning as the work you put in to get here.
What to Expect
These are relaxed, low-pressure, 20-minute mini sessions in the gorgeous setting of Chautauqua Park — think the Flatirons in the background, open meadows, golden Colorado light. It’s kind of perfect.
No stiff posing. No awkward direction. Just you (and your cap and gown, if you want it!), moving through a beautiful space while I document who you are right now — at this exact moment in your story.

- 💸 Booking Fee: $150
Within a couple of weeks of your session, I’ll send you a watermarked gallery with all 15+ of your fully-edited images. Once you open it, you’ll have 24 hours to browse and choose the Photo Collection that fits your budget.
Photo Collections
After your gallery is delivered, you choose what works for you:
Mini Collection A — $175 Your choice of 1 high-resolution digital file + $50 print credit
Mini Collection B — $275 Your choice of 5 high-resolution digital files + $100 print credit
Mini Collection C — $375 All 15+ images from your session + $150 print credit
All collections include professional printing services, a personal usage print release, and my product advice so those photos actually make it out of your camera roll and onto a wall (or into the hands of someone who loves you).
A Note for the Parents
I see you over there, holding it together. Mostly.
I know that vice-slowly-closing-around-your-heart feeling — because I feel it too, with my own kids. The pride and the bittersweetness all swirled together, showing up at the most inconvenient times. These sessions are for your graduate, yes. But they’re for you too.
One day, you will look back at these photos and be so glad you have them.
